Smart Geelong Network is undertaking it’s 10th annual Research and Innovation Expo in 2014 to showcase research and innovation initiatives being undertaken in the Geelong region. As part of this event, the annual Researcher of the Year Awards will be held, with $5000 prizes awarded to the best researcher in the following categories:

  • Innovation in Infectious Disease Research or Prevention
  • Innovation in Biomedicine and Biotechnology
  • Innovative and Sustainable Technology and Engineering
  • Innovative Initiatives in Community Care and Disability Support
  • Smart Initiatives for Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies
  • Innovation and Creativity in Education (Primary, Secondary or Tertiary)
  • Early Career Innovator (Must be less than 5 years qualified in their specified field)

As well as an overall Smart Geelong Network 'Researcher of the Year' winner, who will be awarded a prize of $5000.
